“SERVE THE PUBLIC WITH MORE HUMANITARIAN APPROACH” SAYS ALOK KUMAR VERMA,CP DELHI AT PASSING OUT PARADE

Today on 14th October 2016, the combined Passing Out Parade of 261 Constables including 27 Women Constables and 15 Constables (Driver) of Delhi Police along with 147 Jail Warders and 26 Matrons of Delhi Jail was held at Police Training College, Jharoda Kalan, New Delhi. They took the oath in a splendid ceremonious parade after successfully completing their intensive basic training. Sh. Alok Kumar Verma, Commissioner of Police, Delhi took the salute of the marching contingents.

 

The parade was also attended by senior officers of Delhi Police.

 

During their basic training, all the skills required for their profession have been imparted. The Constables have been trained in Law, Police Science, Criminology, Computer Application, Cyber Crime and Human Rights with prominence on professionalism, discipline & good behavior. For effective community policing they have been sensitized on gender issues, Crime against Women, Children & Senior citizens. With special emphasis on safety and security of women, all the women Constables have been trained in U.A.C & Commando. In outdoor training, they were trained in handling of weapons, vehicle driving, firing practices.  They were trained to use the latest weapons.

After witnessing their splendor march past, Chief Guest gave away the ‘All Round Best’ trophies to Warder Satender of Delhi Jail and Ct. Babu Lal (Driver), W/Ct. Neha for the best recruit of batch Nos. 108 & 106 of Delhi Police respectively.

In his speech, Commissioner of Police, Delhi congratulated the trainees for completion of their training successfully and hoped that they would always remain ahead of time by improving their professional skills from time to time to serve the public with more humanitarian approach. He also congratulated the drill staff as well as the faculty of Police Training College. He affirmed that unbiased service to the public helps in building trust. He added that the uptick in crime and its nature makes it imperative for the police force to be updated, up skilled in latest technology along with physical and mental agility. He emphasized on their contribution related to a slew of issues facing the capital like; terrorism, maintenance of law and order, security of woman and weaker section etc. He particularly highlighted the fact that Delhi Police personnel have to work hard to establish trust and faith with the public so as to build a collaborative influence.
