AAMER ZAKIR EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH OUR EDITOR -IN-CHIEF TARUN SHARMA
“I BROKE THE MYTH THAT A STYLIST CANT BE A CELEBRITY” SAYS AAMER ZAKIR A NAME WHICH REQUIRE NO INTRODUCTION AND MUCH MORE IN AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH OUR EDITOR TARUN SHARMA
Editor: Aamer double Aa in your first name, does it signify that Aamer is superstitious?
A.Z: I am from IRAN and my ancestor’s came from Turkmenistan ,my name is AAMER which stands for Ruler . not AMIR or AAMIR which means wealthy. i do not believe or promote any sort of superstitions.and ZAKIR is my father’s name which i use..so my full name is AAMER ZAKIR
Editor:You are a multi talented person -International stylist /makeover /grooming expert a fashion designer and choreographer for elite fashion shows, please emphasize how you manage all these roles with an individual personality core?.
A.Z: All i can say is that if you are not born with CREATIVITY AND TALENT then you can’t buy them ,either you have it or you don’t ..and I was born and blessed with CREATIVITY AND TALENT so i just explore that and keep doing new things..thank you GOD for this.
Editor:INDIA still needs a lot of development if we talk about the glamour and fashion quotient, what has been your contribution to the development of the same?.
A.Z:” I won’t say that i started a revolution or something “,but before i started my career in fashion , everybody was doing the same ONLY ONE THING, like a designer was only doing designing , make-up artist was only doing make-up etc. nobody was doing multiple things, but i was doing so many different things ,so it was very hard for me, but i was good at whatever work i was doing so people accepted that somebody can be MULTI TALENTED also (i have started as a Fashion Designer and now have two fashion and life-style portals DELHI CHILLI and JUST AAMER ZAKIR). and now when i am a known name and a known face ,then it is easy..i have changed the concept of a make-up artist (which is now MAKE-OVER EXPERT ) and Stylist (INDIA IS STILL VERY NEW TO STYLING CONCEPT) and i am a fashion designing graduate , and doing styling.”I was always blonde or with color hair some people used to talk about it ,but now every body is blonde or with colored hair”. I have made fashion previews by fashion designers which are very popular now , and which is followed by everyone now. and the most important thing that I broke the MYTH that a STYLIST can’t be a CELEBRITY.
Editor: How much percentage out of a 100 goes to hair styling in an individual look according to you,and where does the India hair styling quotient stands at present.
A.Z: “At least 50 % as hair style is like canvas for a picture “.and a bad hair style can ruin a beautiful face, so good hair style is important, Indian people are not very experimental when it comes to hair, but abroad it is very common to dye or change your hair style ,in India we still need some more time , I am blonde , and I have been experimenting with my hair color and style, you can understand that it was tough for me but now a days every body is blonde or with colored hair.
Editor:You from Iran basically, who you found your experimenting on Indian fashion aesthetics.
A.Z: In india very less people/ celebrities /stars are interested in doing experiment in fashion and they have so many if’s and but’s, and most of them end up wearing already used international designer’s garments , stale look, style and make-up..sad but true. still I like hindi movie actress REKHA’s style as she keep reinventing her looks, style and make-up
Editor:Do you think the laws of the land in INDIA are somewhere a hindrance to the growth of fashion industry in INDIA.
A.Z: Indian law is quite much flexible as far as its concerned with fashion. Fashion is already growing big in India.
Editor:Apart from your creations in fashion ,who are the topmost designers whether reputed or not you think are creating a mark in the Indian fashion industry.
A.Z: “There are so many, even young designers. They just need to concentrate on their work rather then making faces coming and on page3″. please showcase your work.and work hard.
Editor:Fashion Choreography is one of the most difficult task which i think because i think a lot goes in understanding the sync of music with the dresses displayed on the ramp by the models, what’s your say on that.
A.Z:Music is a soul of a fashion show and certainly a perfect piece of music helps to make a rhythmical chain between the dress and audience. But other aspects like stage, lightning, models and end-to-end operation is extremely vital.
Editor:How do you rate Indian Models on ramp and what according to you are the aspects on which they require improvements .
A.Z:They need to concentrate more on their body, their skin, their lifestyle and their attitude while being on work. “They must take modelling as a profession not as a part-time job. Top models must be polite and humble”.
Editor:Indian Government rules by and far has been very stringent towards fashion industry ,you being from another country did you also experienced the same and if yes what initiatives by the government can make it better.
A.Z:As said earlier Indian law is quite much flexible as far as its concerned with fashion. Fashion is already growing big in India.
Editor: Your one line motivational or valuable message for budding designers, models, stylists and our portal visitors.
A.Z: “Just be yourself and be honest to your surrounding it repays you back. Let’s respect your work and love everyone”.
