HANDBOOK FOR BANK MITR UNVEILED BY PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK
Unveiling of Handbook for Bank Mitr – Step towards Financial Literacy by PNB
Handbook for Bank Mitr (BC Agent), compiled by Punjab National Bank has been unveiled by Shri Rajesh Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), MOF, GOI at Conference Hall, DFS, New Delhi, while reviewing the performance of various banks on implementation of Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY).
Dr. Alok Pande, Director (FI), DFS has appreciated the initiative taken by Punjab National Bank, providing Bank Mitr the emerging literary material for contributing significantly to the goal of PMJDY, the plan of national importance.
Dr. Ram S. Sangapure, Executive Director, PNB has informed that more than 86 lacs accounts has been opened by the Bank through its 6407 Branches and 7901 Bank Mitr ( BC Agents) across India. It is always our Bank’s endeavour to establish a viable network of Bank Mitr by regular imputes for better performance. With this objective the book has been compiled having workable knowledge of Bank’s Deposit & Loan products, insurance claim process, operational guidelines and specifications for BC Locations. The same is also being uploaded on the website.
Shri V. P. Jain, GM (FI), PNB and Senior Executives from other banks were also present during the unveiling of handbook.
