K U THANAKACHEN ,MANAGING DIRECTOR CRWC FLAGS OFF “MOBILE SCHOOL VAN” DONATES TO AICAPD ,NGO FURTHER AUGMENTING ITS CSR ACTIVITIES

New Delhi: Shri K.U. Thankachen Managing Director, CRWC Flag off of “Mobile School Van” donate to All India Citizens’ Alliance for Progress & Development (AICAPD) NGO at New Delhi.

Central Rail side Warehouse Company Ltd. (A Government of India Enterprise) is ISO Certified Mini Ratna Company and started functioning in the year 2007. The Company develops designs, constructs, operates Rail side Warehouses for handling full train loads of various commodities. At Present the Company is operating 19 Terminals across the country with a total capacity of more than 3 lakh Metric Tonnes.
In tune with its corporate social responsibility objectives, CRWC launched an Innovation mobile school –van project for educating migrant slum children in different parts of NCR also covering areas near Shakurbasti terminal of CRWC. Under the project, an eco-van with basic educational facilities has been provided to an NGO, All India Citizen’s alliance for progress and development (AICAPD).AICAPD provides all the teaching aids including the teachers, stationary, infrastructure,etc.
The innovation Mobile School was flagged off by Sh. K.U. Thankachen MD, CRWC in the presence of Prof. S.K.Kapoor Project Director, AICAPD, and other senior CRWC official.
The Children of the migrant labour are unable to attend conventional schools as their parents have to move from one construction site to another. They lack basic education, live in utter poverty and while away their time as their parents are busy at work. This initiative on the part of CRWC is an effort to plug this gap and address their basic educational needs.
