UP Chief Minister inaugurates Health City Trauma Centre and Super-speciality hospital

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav inaugurated the newly built Health city Trauma Centre and Super-speciality hospital in Vijay Khand, Gomti Nagar in Lucknow. Speaking on the occasion, Akhilesh Yadav said that the society needed doctors in a big way and they were people who gave hope to those in need and are ill. Congratulating the people associated with the hospital, the Chief Minister said that the society was being immensely benefited by hospitals coming up in the private sector. He also pointed out that due to the sustained efforts of the state government in improving healthcare, poor people of the state were getting benefitted.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the present state government had taken forward the mission started by ‘Netaji’ (Mulayam Singh Yadav) to make more medical colleges and hospitals. Other than new medical colleges, primary health centres, community health centres, and district hospitals have also been strengthened and upgraded.The Chief Minister said that in times to come IT, Medical services and Tourism are going to be the sunrise sectors.
Addressing the gathering, VP and regional director (South-Asia) of the ‘Smile Train’ project, Mamta Caroll said that under this project, in Uttar Pradesh, so far 1.20 lakh cleft surgeries have taken place and added that in this achievement, the role of the state government has been very laudable.
Director of the SGPGI, Dr. Rakesh Kapoor and KGMU Chancellor Dr. Ravikant also addressed the event. The Chief Minister also launched the profile of the Health city Trauma Centre and Superspeciality hospital. Dr. KV Jain welcomed the guests and Dr. Sandip Kapoor and Dr. Sandeep Garg informed about the facilities available at the hospital.
