Three IRS officers promoted as Chief Commissioner (Income Tax).

Three IRS (Income Tax) officers have been promoted as Chief Commissioner (Income Tax) for the panel year 2026 under the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
List of officers promoted goes as follows:
- Vanita Rattan Sharma (IRS IT: 1994)
- Upendra Bhushan Mishra (IRS IT: 1994)
- Shahi Sanjay Kumar (IRS IT: 1995)
Upendra Bhushan Mishra and Shahi Sanjay Kumar have been posted simultaneously as CCIT. Upendra Bhushan Mishra has been appointed as CCIT (C)-2, Mumbai, while Shahi Sanjay Kumar has been appointed as CCIT (OSD) in the office of Principal CCIT, Delhi, in addition to the additional charge of the post he held before promotion.
