Eight IRS officers promoted to the rank of Chief Commissioner (Customs & Indirect Taxes).

Eight IRS (Customs & Indirect Taxes) officers have been promoted in the rank of Chief Commissioner (C&IT), in Level 16 of the Pay Matrix (HAG), for the panel year 2026 under the Central Board of Customs & Indirect Taxes (CBIC).
List of officers promoted goes as follows:
- Ved Prakash Shukla (IRS C&IT: 1993)- Superannuation in December 2026
- N Sridhar (IRS C&IT: 1993)- Superannuation in January 2027
- Jaideep P (IRS C&IT: 1993)- Superannuation in May 2029
- Gurusharan Singh (IRS C&IT: 1993)- Superannuation in February 2029
- Vidyadhar Namdeorao Thete (IRS C&IT: 1993)- Superannuation in August 2026
- Kiran Verma (IRS C&IT: 1993)- Superannuation in August 2028
