R. N. NAYAK,CMD,POWERGRID CONFERRED WITH EMINENT “ELECTRICAL ENGG. AWARD”

New Delhi : Chairman & Managing Director, R.N.Nayak has been conferred with the “Eminent Electrical Engineer Award” by the Institution of Engineers (India) on Nov.14,2013. This award has been given for his active and vast services in the field of “Electrical Engineering”.

The award was presented during the inaugural function of the 29th National Convention with the theme “Sustainable Energy and Technological Development in Power Sector” at the Institution of Engineers, New Delhi. The Institution of Engineers was established in the year 1920 and it is the largest professional body of Engineers with a membership of nearly 7 lakh.

Nayak is a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from REC, Rourkela (Odisha) and holds an M. Tech (Electrical) degree from IIT, Kharagpur. He has been a recipient of “P.M. Ahluwalia Award” and is a fellow of IEEE. He is also an honored member in the field of Electrical Engineering of “Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE)”.

Shri Nayak has over 33 years of work experience in the power sector. He has worked for more than 20 years in POWERGRID and has handled multi-disciplinary functions like Engineering, Corporate Quality Assurance and Inspection, Load Despatch & Communication, Grid Management, Contracts Management, Telecom, Operation & Maintenance, Commercial as well as Human Resource Management.
