Solar plant installation in capital in now affordable and easy

The Power Department of Delhi Government has opened the registration for residents of Delhi (belonging to Residential/ Institutional/ Social Sector) who are interested in installing Solar PV Plants on their Rooftop under Delhi Government Solar Policy 2016 & DERC (Net Metering for Renewable Energy) Regulations 2014.
By this, Solar installation in Delhi is now affordable and easy. Under this scheme, 30% Central Finance Assistance (CFA) is from Central Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on the cost of Solar PV Plant. The Generation Based Incentive is (GBI) of Rs. 2/- per unit (for residential sector).
With this, one can save money off the Electricity Bills with the Solar Generation through Net Metering. For this purpose, Indraprastha Power Generation Co. Ltd. (IPGCL), on behalf of EEREM Centre has empanelled vendors for Solar PV installations defining rates and applicable subsidy. The benefits of the scheme are applicable only for installations to be done through IPGCL by any of the Empanelled Vendors.
