NAMO TO OBSERVE FASTS IN UNITED STATES TOO DURING HIS VISIT THERE IN NAVRATRAS, WILL HAVE WATER & FRUITS ONLY 

NEW DELHI: Narendra Modi Prime Minister of INDIA will begin his annual ritual of ‘nakkoda’ fasting that he has been observing every navratri for the past 35 years — nine days of drinking only water and strict adherence to yoga, meditation and puja at dusk — a day before he leaves for a five-day visit to the US on September 26.

NAMO fasts in Navratri for nine days and this time it falls during his US visit. He has suggested the officials not to make any special arrangements in wake of his fasts as he prefers to take water only.

The Prime Minister performs all rituals during nine days. He will even not have anything in the dinner hosted by US president Barack Obama on September 29.

The officials have been instructed in the matter.
