Harjit Singh Grewal, appointed as Chairperson of National Commission for Minorities

Senior BJP leader from Punjab Harjit Singh Grewal has been appointed as Chairperson of National Commission for Minorities. The post was lying vacant ever since the term of Iqbal Singh Lalpura ended in April 2025.
Earlier, S. Munawari Begum has been appointed as the Vice-Chairperson of the commission and Glenn E Souza Ticlo as member.
