WATCH OUT FOR ADULTRATED SWEETS THIS FESTIVAL..

  • TWO ACCUSED PERSONS INVOLVED IN THE MANUFACTURING OF ADULTRATED SWEETS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED BY THE STAFF OF POLICE STATION AMAN VIHAR, OUTER DISTRICT, DELHI.

 

  • HUGE QUANTITY OF ADULTRATED MAWA (APPROXIMATELY FIVE QUINTALS) HAS BEEN RECOVERED.

 

 

 

On 27.10.16 a secret information was received through Ct. Omprakash No. 1374/OD regarding preparation of adulterated Mawa in area of Agar Nagar, Prem Nagar-III, Kirari, Delhi and the information was passed to SDM Rohini Delhi and Department of Food Safety, Govt. of Delhi. A team was constituted comprising of SI Jitender Joshi, I/C PP Prem Nagar, Ct. Om Prakash No. 1374/OD, Ct. L. Bhargav No. 3086/OD under the leadership of Inspr. Surya Prakash, SHO Aman Vihar and overall supervision of Sh. Saurabh Chandra, ACP Sultanpuri. The raid was conducted with Sh. Tapan Jha, SDM Rohini along with Sh. Satish Kumar Gupta (Designated Officer, Department of Food Safety, Govt. of Delhi), Sh. SP Singh (Food Safety Officer Department of Food Safety, Govt. of Delhi), Sh. Subedar Mishra (Field Assistant Department of Food Safety, Govt. of Delhi) on 27.10.16 at 1.00 PM. During raid premises Agar Nagar, Som Bazar Road, Prem Nagar III, Kirari, Delhi was inspected. The preparation of sweets was being done in very unhygienic and unhealthy conditions. Prepared sweets were smelling stinky and seem to be adulterated.  One person namely Ramesh R/o Gaurav Nagar, Budh Bazar Road, Prem Nagar-III, Kirari, Delhi was found there, who was preparing sweets.  During enquiry it came to be known that the above person himself was running the said business of preparing Mawa Sweets. The environment was found to be hazardous to health and precious lives of human beings.  The above said act on part of the above person is malignant and likely to spread infection of diseases.  Sh. S.P. Singh (Food Safety Officer) collected the samples from the material available for further examination.

MODUS OPERANDI: –

The modus operandi of the accused persons was that they use to prepare Milk Cake and other sweets using synthetic milk, suzi, cheap oil and harmful colours.

The investigation of the case is in progress.
