VIJAY BAHUGUNA CM UTTARAKHAND RESIGNS

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna on Friday tendered his resignation. He handed over his resignation to Governor Aziz Qureshi in Dehradun.

Bahuguna’s removal was expected for quite some time, and is being seen as part of the major revamp being undertaken by the Congress ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Bahuguna has been under fire for non-performance, especially in the aftermath of the devastating floods in the state in July last year.

According to sources, Harish Rawat is the frontrunner for the chief minister’s post.
