Dr. L. Murugan requests Vice President to establish Tamil Language Department and Research Centre at University of Delhi

Dr. L. Murugan, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, met with the Vice President of India to discuss the development and promotion of the classical Tamil language.

Dr. Murugan proposed the establishment of a new department and research centre dedicated to Tamil language and literature at the University of Delhi. He also recommended the creation of new positions in various colleges and departments to facilitate the teaching of Tamil language and literature, ensuring that this ancient language can be studied by students across the country.
