TWO THIEVES ARRESTED AND JEWELERY WORTH 2 LAKH RECOVERED BY DELHI RAILWAY POLICE

         Two thieves arrested and jewelery worth Rs. 2 lakhs recovered.

 

New Delhi :With the arrest of Kalu s/o Late Sh. Raj and Babloo s/o Late Sh. Girender Singh both r/o Gyar Colony, Railway Road, Bhogaon Distt. Mainpuri UP, the Delhi Railway Police has busted the gang of Pick Pockets who used to target the ladies purses and used to steal smaller purses out of the big purses.

Incident        

On 31.01.2014, complainant Sh. Keshav Adhikari alongwith his wife reached Old Delhi Railway Station by Satyagarah Express from Raxual. When they were coming out of station, purse of his wife was stolen from the bag at Foot over bridge. The purse contained gold chain, ring, kangan, mangalsutra, ear rings and some silver jewelry worth Rs. 2 lakhs. On his complaint the case FIR No. 29/14 dated 31.01.14 u/s 379/411/34 IPC was registered and investigation was taken up.

 

Team

 

A team was constituted in the supervision of Insp. Udaiveer Singh, SHO/ODRS and SI Rajender Dabas, HC Jagdish, Ct. Raghu Raj and Ct. Amit under the supervision of ACP/Railway Sh. Sehdev Singh to work out the case. The team worked hard and on source information arrested accused namely Kalu s/o Late Sh. Raj and Babloo s/o Late Sh. Girender Singh both r/o Gyar Colony, Railway Road, Bhogaon Distt. Mainpuri UP and recovered the complete stolen jewelry of worth Rupees 2 lakhs.

Modus operandi

 

Kalu further revealed that he and his associates Babloo are pick picketers. They also disclosed that they usually target the ladies purses which can be easily picked after opening the chain of the ladies bags in crowd. Further efforts are on to effect more recoveries and work out more cases.
