Sudhir Vasudeva CMD ONGC receives the prestigious P L Roy CSR Award on behalf of his organisation

New Delhi, Oct 04 : ONGC received the prestigious P L Roy CSR Award on ‘International Day of Older Persons’ on October 1, 2013, for its continuous support to the elderly through its CSR initiative ‘Varishthajana Swasthya Sewa Abhiyan’ in association with HelpAge India. SudhirVasudeva CMD ONGC  received the award at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The ‘Varishthajana Swasthya Sewa Abhiyan’ project is aimed at reaching out to over 1,00,000 rural elderly persons in and around ONGC’s operational areas, who have limited or no access to healthcare delivery facilities either due to poor services by the existing healthcare facilities or unaffordability due to lack of financial resources or physical immobility
The P L Roy CSR Award is given to the Corporate Houses engaged in active and continuous CSR Support for activities through HelpAge India in memory of the long term contribution to Help Age India by P.L Roy, who was a dedicated and committed Board member of the Help Age India.
