‘Safe Riding’ campaign by eminent anchor & comedian Shri Kapil Sharma

New Delhi,Sept.4,2013:In the series of traffic and road safety sensitization campaign, on 4.9.2013, the eminent television anchor and comedian Shri Kapil Sharma formally inaugurated a Road Safety Campaign on “Safe Riding” at India Gate lawns at 1600 Hours. Among those present included senior officers from Delhi Traffic Police, staff of Road Safety Cell/Traffic, field officers, media persons and general public. Shri Kapil Sharma exhorted citizens of Delhi to observe road rules like wearing seat belt and helmets while driving. He also appealed to the youth to follow traffic rules and avoid dangerous stunts on bikes/two wheelers not only for their own safety but also to the safety of other road users.

Road Safety literatures were also distributed on the occasion to the road users.  Mobile Traffic Exhibition Van was also displayed at the spot to educate road users. In the first act, Shri Kapil Sharma himself enacted correct use of wearing seat belt and helmets to instill road safety sense amongst the people gathered on the spot.
