Ravi Agrawal IRS tenure extended as Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT)

 Ravi Agrawal (IRS-IT:1988) tenure has been extended by central government on Saturday (June 28, 2025) as Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) by one year.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved Agrawal’s re-appointment on a contract basis for a period of one year—from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
