PNB LAUNCHES SPECIAL DRIVE TO FELICITATE DEFENCE PENSIONERS
Punjab National Bank today launched a special drive to facilitate defence pensioners in submitting their digital life certificate by setting up their kiosks at ECHS Poly Clinics at 6 locations in Delhi and NCR and 2 locations at Chandimandir Cantt, Chandigarh using their Aadhar ID through bio-metric authentication. The Bank already has an arrangement of offering this facility through common citizen service centres spread across the country.
Currently about 40,000 such centres are functioning, where Central Civil Pensioners or Defence Pensioners can submit their digital life certificate which is then preserved at “Jeevan Pramaan” Portal developed by the Deptt of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt of India. The Jeevan Pramaan portal was launched by honourable Prime Minister on 10thNovember 2014. The Life Certificate can be submitted at 40000 CSCs & other Govt Authorized Offices across the country & at comfort of home through PCs, laptop, tablet, mobile by downloading app from Jeevan Pramaan portal. The Bank will obtain these life certificates from Jeevan Pramaan repository. The Bank also informed that presently a pensioner can submit a life certificate at any branch of the bank irrespective of the fact from where he or she is drawing pension presently. It was also clarified that Digital life certificate is optional and Pensioners are welcome to submit physical certificate as in vogue.
