PNB DELHI ZONE ORGANIZED A CUSTOMER MEET ON FINANCING OF SOLAR ROOFTOP POWER PROJECTS

Punjab National Bank (PNB), Delhi Zone organized a customer meet on 17.09.2019 at Le-Meridian, New Delhi for PNB-Customers under Asian Development Bank (ADB) Technical Assistance (TA) fund of Solar Rooftop Investment Program (SRIP); The main aim of the meet was to sensitize the customers about the PNB financing facility for Rooftop Solar Power Projects.
The meet was chaired by Ram Kumar, Zonal Manager, PNB, Delhi along with expert panel from ADB and TA team. Mukesh Dave, Deputy Zonal Manager, PNB, Delhi welcomed the participants. Jigar Bhatt, Project Officer-ADB, introduced the SRIP Loan and TA facility by ADB. He also addressed the serious concern on increasing CO2 emission. Upendra Bhatt, Sr. Technical Consultant, ADB, gave a very interactive presentation on Technical aspects of Solar Rooftop and Solar policy of Delhi. The session was extended by H K Parikh, Sr. Consultant, ADB where he gave a detailed presentation on PNB scheme for Solar Rooftop Power Project Financing. The meet was concluded with a vote of thanks by R.R. Dhar, Circle Head, North Delhi.
ADB has sanctioned a multi tranche financing facility of USD 500 Million to PNB for financing Solar Rooftop power projects in various segments under Central Government, National Solar Mission (NSM). The first tranche of the loan agreement of $100 Million for Tranche 1 is operational.
