MICHAEL SCHUMACHER CRITICAL FOLLOWING A SKIING ACCIDENT

Formula One icon Michael Schumacher is in critical condition after undergoing neurosurgery for a brain hemorrhage at a French hospital after a skiing accident in the French Alps, according to according to a french radio station.

Schumacher, 44, one of the greatest race car drivers of all time, fell and hit his head against a rock Sunday morning while skiing in the French resort of Meribel, where he owns a chalet.

The seven time Formula One world champion, who retired from the sport last year for the second time, was wearing a helmet at the time of the fall.
