Issued in Dating Interest: This Halloween, Tinder is ghost-busting your dating nightmares
Titled Dating Scaries, Tinder’s new video series brings together three of entertainment’s most iconic on-screen baddies — Urvashi Dholakia, Rajat Bedi, and Dilip Tahil — in a tongue-in-cheek ode to modern dating. The series reinforces Tinder’s commitment to today’s young daters; helping them navigate dating with confidence, honesty, and a sense of fun.
Delhi, November 3, 2025: In 2025, the real chills come from disappearing dates, mind games, and those “we’re just vibing” situationships that never see the light of day. This spooky season, Tinder is flipping the script on dating nightmares with Dating Scaries, a three-part video series that turns dating’s most dreaded moments into funny, totally binge-worthy entertainment with three of India’s most iconic on-screen baddies — Urvashi Dholakia, Rajat Bedi, and Dalip Tahil. From gaslighting and ghosting to the eerie limbo of situationships, each episode tackles dating’s biggest red flags with humour and heart. And true to Tinder’s spirit of possibilities, they remind viewers that while dating can sometimes be scary, it’s also a space to laugh, learn, and grow.
“With Dating Scaries, our goal is to bring a playful, self-aware lens to modern dating. Humour is central to how Gen Z connects with love and relationships, and this series captures that perfectly. It’s a lighthearted reminder that even when dating feels tough, being honest, self-aware, and communicative makes all the difference. This is our commitment to today’s young dater – to help them have a healthy, safe and fun dating experience,” said Aditi Shorewal, Communications Lead for Tinder in India and Korea.
Episode 1: Gaslighting ft. Urvashi Dholakia aka Komolika Basu
She’s back – the hair flicks, the theme music, and eyeliner sharper than your date’s excuses. Urvashi Dholakia returns as the legendary Komolika Basu, but this time she’s here to gaslight.
In the first episode of Dating Scaries, Komolika brings her trademark drama to school a young woman on gaslighting, flipping the script with savage humour and classic Komo flair. The episode ends with a reminder that stings almost as much as being left on read: Gaslighting can be scary, and explosive, to your dating life. Stay honest, stay happy. Issued in dating interest, love Tinder.
What’s Next: Episode 2 – Situationships with Rajat Bedi & Episode 3 – Ghosting with Dilip Tahil
Following Komolika’s dramatic return, Tinder’s Dating Scaries continues through Halloween week with Rajat Bedi and Dilip Tahil, each bringing their signature villain energy to the world of modern love. From emotional mind games to disappearing acts, expect more laughs.
Each episode delivers a cheeky reality check – a playful reminder from Tinder to be a Green Flag. From “Being in a situationship may be more confusing than it appears” to “Play games on the court, not in their minds,” the series serves truth bombs.
Dilip Tahil takes ghosting to a new (and hilarious) level, dropping lines like, “Beta, you want dopamine, not diabetes. Ghost him!” But our protagonist flips the script, choosing honesty over avoidance. Rajat Bedi, meanwhile, dives into the chaos of situationships with confidence, advising, “Tigers labels ke bina bhi tigers hote hain. We don’t need labels.” Once again, the dater rises above, proving that clarity and communication are the real power moves in dating.
With each episode, Dating Scaries transforms toxic advice into teachable moments, reminding us that the scariest thing about dating isn’t ignoring red flags, but being one.
