INNOCENT PATIENTS DYING DUE TO A SPAT BETWEEN DOCTORS AND UTTAR PRADESH BUREAUCRACY

On Friday, several doctors of a government hospital were mercilessly beaten and dragged by policemen after a confrontation with a legislator of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party.

Thousands of doctors at hospitals across Uttar Pradesh are on strike to protest against what they describe as the “goonda raj” or lawlessness of the ruling Samajwadi Party.

The question is why the innocent patient have to pay the price for the spat between the dotors and UP Bureaucracy.Is it not the moral responsibility of Doctors to attend to ailing patient and cease the strike and also is it not the Uttar Pradesh Government responsibility to provide medical aid to dying patients by maintaining law and order.According to sources 40 patients have already died due to medical negligence because of ongoing strike by the doctors.

It is time the Uttar Pradesh bureaucracy to stabilise the situation as early as possible as human life is precious and should be saved at any cost.
