VIFT courtyard witnessed a high voltage evening on 22nd April 2017, at Vidya Institute of Fashion technology, Meerut (the first AICTE approved fashion institute, and member of FDCI).

 

Evening began with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest Mr. Sameer Verma, District Magistrate, Meerut, celebrity guest Ms. Pankhuri Gidwani, Miss India and celebrity designer guest Ms. Harmeet Bajaj. The evening proceeded with the honoring of the designer guests including Ms. Harmeet Bajaj, Designer; Dr. Kusum Chopra ex.professor and chairperson NIFT Delhi, Mr. Sumit Saurabh & Ankita Saurabh, Designer & Fashion Coach; Mrs. & Mr. Amar Sehra, Designer; Ms. Nidhi Karan Mago, Fashion Designer; Mr. Saurabh Kalra, CEO White Rock Consultare and mentor; Mr. Niket Mishra, Show Coordinator; Mr. Priyam Narayan, Fashion Designer; Mr. Mohit Raj, Social Entrepreneur, Mr.Kappil Kishore, Fashion Designer.

 

The designers also launched the fashion catalogue, En Vogue 2k17. Comprising of the entire 15 collections of the BFAD, graduating students. The show began with the glamour and grandeur, the students exhibited their collections on vivid themes as Coachella, C3, Anumudra, Paint the Silence, Charm of Marilla, TGIF (Thank God Its Frida) to name a few. The fashion show also showcased a kid’s collection designed by VIFT BFAD 3rd year students. The chief guest Mr. Sameer Verma, District Magistrate, Meerut, appreciated the work of the students & blessed them with his words. Ms. Pankhuri Gidwani (Miss India) along with the management Shri Pradeep Jain Ji (Chairman), Shri Saurabh Jain Ji (Managing Director) and Mr. Vishal Jain (Executive Director) conferred the awards to the winners in the following categories:

  • The Best Design Collection 2017 was bagged by Ms. Khyati Goel
  • The Best commercial Collection (Western & Indian) was bagged by Ms. Ishita Garg and Ms. Amita Chaudhary
  • The Best Innovative Collection ,Ms. Saloni Kansal
  • Best Surface Ornamentation – 2 awards,Ms. Rashi Ahuja and Ms. Shreyasi Goel
  • Best Portfolio Award was bagged by Ms. Kalika Jindal
  • Best Creative Collection, Ms. Ayushi Jain

The entire show was an exuberant experience for the guest and invitees. The show mesmerized its audience by the imagination and creativity of the students.
