Dr. D.S. Rana, Eminent Nephrologist, Chairman, Sir Ganga Ram Trust Society, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital felicitated with International award by The Asian Society of Transplantations in a recently held event in Kuwait.

Heartiest congratulations to Dr. D S Rana, eminent nephrologist , Chairman, Sir Ganga Ram Trust Society for prestigious International Award by The Asian society of transplantation in Kuwait on December 2, 2025 in the category of AST achievement award for medical education.

He has made an immense contribution to the growth of the society by organising annual conferences twice in India and holding the office of President of Society and council member .

Dr. D. S. Rana richly deserve recognition for the hard work in pioneering and developing kidney transplantation in India and training more than 100 DNB fellows at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

He is pioneer in developing group practice in nephrology, vascular access and various difficult transplants like Spousal, HBsAg positive, ABOi. sensitized transplants and pioneer in starting kidney transplantation in north India .

This award is the recognition of his hard work over 5 decades and dedication. He has brought huge laurels to the department and institution.
