Dr Anoop Kumar Mittal ,CMD,NBCC CONFERRED WITH HONORARY D.PHIL DEGREE
New Delhi: Dr. (Hon.) Anoop Kumar Mittal, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NBCC has been conferred honorary D. Phil Degree by D.C. Singhania, Chancellor, Singhania University, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan on November 19, 2013 in recognition of his exceptionally outstanding contribution to the cause of quality value based education in civil & trenchless engineering and promoting building & civil technology on both national as well as international levels.
With more than 30 years of experience in the construction arena, Dr. Mittal has assisted in the pioneering work of constructing the first Metro Station in New Delhi at Seelampur which because of its aesthetic excellence was chosen as the venue to inaugurate Delhi Metro, way back in 2003. He has implemented the 270 Cusec Raw Water Pipeline Project of NBCC from Muradnagar (UP) to Sonia Vihar (New Delhi) which made drinking water available to the East & South Delhi residents.
He has also made NBCC complete the breakthrough re-development of Netaji Nagar by commercial exploitation of 4 acres of land from the 123.49 acres earmarked for this project. Contributing substantially in stepping up NBCC to get it scheduled in Category ‘A’ Mini Ratna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) and consequently launching IPO in 2012, he has paved Project Management Consultancy for construction of all buildings for National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) and Green Building for Indian Institute for Corporate Affairs (IICA), New Delhi
