Delhi Jal Board organizes its 5th Karamchari Sampark Sabha
New Delhi: DJB announces the empanelment of 275 new private Hospital and Diagnostics Centers for the benefit of its employees
The Amount under the Hitkari Nidhi Yojna enhanced from Rs. 10,000 to 21,000/- for the marriage of one son/daughter of DJB’s employees.

Delhi Jal Board has been making continuous efforts of building amiable relations with its employees to nurture a relationship of trust and co-operation. In line with these efforts, DJB organized its 5th Karamchari Sampark Sabha on 10.01.2016 under the chairmanship of Dr. Jayadev Sarangi, Member (Administration). Sh. Dinesh Mohaniya, Vice Chairman, Delhi Jal Board and other officials including a number of employees and pensioners were present at the Sampark Sabha.

The Administrative Officer (Labour Welfare) presented the new initiatives in the area of Employee Welfare, in the past three months. DJB has registered 275 new Private Hospitals and Diagnostic Centre in its panel. All the DDO’s were also directed to hand over the medical booklets of the employees the very next day of their retirement. Further they were also informed that if they wanted to avail the benefits of the lifetime medical facility after the retirement, the employees will have to deposit the medical fee either in one go for ten years or every year for 10 years and after that no subscription will be paid.
Under the Hitkari Nidhi Yojna, DJB has also enhanced the amount from Rs. 10,000 to 21,000/- for the marriage of one son/daughter of DJB’s employees. This scheme has been implemented w.e.f 01.01.2016. The terms and condition of the cancer treatment charges, medical expenses and the re- imbursements will be the same as in the Central Government. The provision of wheel chairs and ramps has also been made in the all the DJB’s dispensaries to provide easy access to the physically challenged employees/ retired persons.

Assistant Commissioners, Administrative Office (Labour Welfare ) presented the action taken regarding the 53 requests and suggestions made by the employees during the Karamchari Sampark Sabha held on 04.10.2015. During the fourth Karamchari Sampark Sabha, DJB received 106 applications from the employees, pensioners, members of the dependent families. Application letters have been sent to the heads of the concerned departments to learn about the action taken on the applications of the employees.

Member (Administration) addressed the employees, pensioners and members of dependent families and said, “I want that more and more number of employees should be present so that the problems of the employees should be resolved at the earliest.”He also thanked the people present during the Sabha for their active participation and for the confidence they have shown in the administration.

The Karamchari Sampark Sabha has provided a platform to the DJB employees where their grievances are redressed on the spot. Moreover, the Sabha provides a forum for open communication which helps in fostering a spirit of ownership towards the organisation among the employees.
