DRUG RINGS BUSTED COCAINE AND HEROIN WORTH 6 CRORE AND 25 LAKHS RECOVERED BY CRIME BRANCH,DELHI

FOUR DRUG RINGS INCLUDING AN INTERNATIONAL DRUG RING BUSTED.
FIVE DRUG TRAFFICKERS INCLUDING TWO FOREIGN NATIONALS ARRESTED.
50 GMS COCAINE AND 2.450 KGS HEROIN RECOVERED.
NARCOTICS ARE WORTH RS.6 CRORES AND 25 LACS IN THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET.
ONE OF THE DRUG TRAFFICKERS HAD A MAKESHIFT LABORATORY FOR MANUFACTURING HEROIN.

The Crime Branch in its concerted drive against the Narcotic trade in the city has in a span of few days busted four drug trafficking rings. Five drug traffickers including two foreign nationals have been arrested. 50 gms of cocaine and 2.450 kgs of heroin has been recovered. The Narcotics are worth Rs.6 crores 25 lacs in the International Market.

The teams that busted the drug trafficking rings was led by ACP Zile Singh and consisted of Inspectors Vivek Pathak, Akash Rawat, SIs Satyawan, Sunil Jain, Rajni Kant, Karamveer, HCs Rohtash, Abdul, Charan Singh, Bharat, Dharmender, Mukesh, Yogesh, Cts Khetaram, Sandeep, Sunny Kumar & Sohanpal under the overall supervision of DCP Crime Bhisham Singh.

The first bust took place on 15.05.2014. SI Satyawan received information that a foreign national involved in the drug trade would come to a place near Vikas Marg, New Delhi to deliver a consignment of cocaine. A trap was laid and Chijoke Ejikeme (aged 31 years) s/o Ejikeme r/o St. James Anglican Church, Ichida, Annebra, Nigeria, present address: Mahavir Enclave, Delhi was apprehended. 50 gms cocaine was recovered from his possession. Case under appropriate sections of law was registered.
On interrogation, it was revealed that Chijoke Ejikeme had come to India in the year 2009 on a business visa. Even after his visa expired, he overstayed in India. He had his base in Mumbai from where he did his own business of exporting automobile parts from India. He sustained heavy losses and then got involved in drug trafficking. He had come to Delhi about a month back and was apprehended while delivering cocaine to a contact. Further investigation of the case is in progress.

On 16.05.2014, the second drug bust was affected. On specific information Jane Alam @ Doctor (aged 50 years) s/o Kadir Khan r/o Tehsil Jalalabad, District Shahjahanpur, U.P. was apprehended near ISBT, Kashmere Gate, Delhi. 500 gms of heroin was recovered from his possession. Case under appropriate section of law was registered.

Jane Alam @ Doctor on interrogation disclosed that earlier they had the license to cultivate opium but on expiry of the license, they continued cultivating opium clandestinely. He learned the art of manufacturing heroin from opium. He set up a makeshift laboratory at his residence to manufacture heroin from opium. This Crude heroin was supplied in Delhi for the Local drug peddlers.

The third drug ring was busted on 17.05.2014. On specific information, a drug trafficker namely Vicky (aged 20 years) s/o late Ashok Kumar r/o Vijay Vihar-I, Rohini, Delhi was apprehended from the area of Samaipur Badli, Delhi. 450 gms of heroin was recovered from his possession. Case under appropriate section of law has been registered.

Vicky was in dire need of money. In order to sustain his family, he came in contact with drug peddlers and also got involved in drug peddling in the area of Outer Delhi.

The fourth drug bust is an International drug ring. On 17.05.2014, an Afghan National namely Rahmattullah (aged 25 years) s/o Ishmutullah r/o New Street Kabul, Afghanisthan, presently residing at  Hauz Rani, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi was apprehended from the area of Saket, New Delhi. 1 kg of heroin was recovered from his possession. Case under appropriate section of law was registered. Subsequently, his local associate namely Arbaz (aged 22 years) s/o Babu Khan r/o  Gautam Vihar, Khaddee Wali Masjid, Brahampuri, Delhi was also arrested. 500 gms of heroin was recovered from his possession. Case under appropriate section of law has been registered.

Rahmattullah on interrogation disclosed that he is from Kandhar, Afghanistan. In the year of 2009, his brother Niyamutullah was arrested in Delhi for being involved in the drug trade. Since 2010, he has been coming to India for taking care of the legal needs of his brother. He got married in India to an Afghan National. In order to meet the needs of his family, he also got involved in the drug trade. He used to procure heroin from Afghanistan through a contact. He used to sell the heroin to drug peddlers in Delhi.

Arbaz, the drug peddler, on his interrogation, disclosed that he had earlier been arrested for being in possession of counterfeit currency. In order to earn quick money, he got involved in drug trade. He used to procure heroin from Rahmattullah and sell it in the area of Seelampur, Delhi.
