CMD, NTPC Reviews Progress at Coal Mining Projects Meets Project Affected Persons

Dr. Arup Roy Choudhury, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC reviewed Pakri Barwadih, Chatti Bariatu & Kerendari Coal mining projects at NTPC site office in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Shri N.N. Misra, Director Operations , Shri U.P. Pani, Director HR , NTPC were with him during the visit.

CMD  met the Project Affected Persons and  gave annuity cheques to them. NTPC officials  listened to the grievances of the villagers and discussed ways to resolve their problems for speedy start to the Coal Mining activities. Villagers were assured that with the functioning of NTPC coal mining projects the entire area will benefit from the development.

NTPC team visited Banadag coal yard rail head to be linked  with 14 km conveyor belt for  transporting coal from the mine. Study material was presented to students from the villages inducted for ITI training through IL&FS Technical Institute as part of local skill building effort by NTPC.
