TRAFFIC ADVISORY BY DELHI TRAFFIC POLICE FOR
AIRTEL DELHI HALF MARATHON SCHEDULED ON 29 NOVEMEBER,2011
Airtel Delhi Half Marathon is being organized on 29.11.2015 (Sunday). The assembly of the participants shall be at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. All the runs shall be flagged off from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and will finish at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. There are 8 categories of runs:

Start inside Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium complex –T/R Bhishma Pitamah Marg – T/L Lodi Road, U-Turn from II Avenue Road – Go Straight on Lodhi Road – T/L Mathura Road – Go straight on Mathura Road – T/L Subramania Bharti Marg –T/R Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg – Go inside India Gate Hexagon – T/L towards India Gate –Go straight towards Rajpath – T/R Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Marg – -T/L on Red Cross Road – T/R towards Parliament Street – Go straight on Sansad Marg – Take U turn after crossing Jantar Mantar – Move straight on Parliament Street – Natural left turn towards Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Marg – Go straight towards Rajpath – T/L on Rajpath – T/L on Janpath – Go towards R/A Windsor Palace (Hotel Le Meridian) – take U turn on Janpath near Hotal Le Meridian–Move straight towards Rajpath- T/L on Rajpath – Go straight towards India Gate Hexagon – Go from left hand side of India Gate towards R/A – Go around the R/A and T/L towards Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg – T/L Subramania Bharti Marg –T/R Mathura Road – Go from left hand side of Jungpura flyover towards Lodhi Road under the flyover – T/L Bhishma Pitamah Marg – T/L and enter Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium – finish outside the main stadium complex.
EDRP
Start from Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium- the participants will peel off from the race after covering the distance of 03 Kms, 05 Kms & 10 Kms on the above mentioned route.
Champions With Disability
Start inside Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium complex –T/R Bhishma Pitamah Marg – T/L Lodi Road, U-Turn from II Avenue Road – move straight and turn right on Bhisham Pitamah Marg – T/L towards JLN stadium – T/R and finish at Gate No.2 of JLN Stadium.
Senior Citizens Run
Start inside Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium complex –T/R Bhishma Pitamah Marg – T/L Lodi Road, U-Turn from II Avenue Road – move straight and turn right on Bhisham Pitamah Marg – T/L towards JLN stadium – T/R and finish at Gate No.2 of JLN Stadium.
Great Delhi Run
Start inside Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium complex – T/R on Bhishma Pitamah Marg, – T/L – Lodhi Road – U turn from Second Avenue Road – Lodhi Road – U turn before Jungpura flyover – Lodhi Road – Dayal Singh College -T/L -Bhishma Pitamah Marg – T/L inside Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium premises – finish outside the main SAI office.
ENTRY TO JAWAHAR LAL NEHRU STADIUM
Entry for all to the stadium is through Gate 14 & Gate No.8
All invitees, participants and spectators intending to go to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium shall reach before 5.30 am. Restrictions on general traffic shall be imposed after 6.00 am.
PARKING PLAN
There is parking available for the event for which different labels have been given by the organizers. All categories of invitees must follow the route for parking as per their categorization. Detail of labels of parking is as under-

Traffic will not be permitted on route of the Delhi Half Marathon from until event is over. Similarly traffic will also not be permitted towards the route from any internal/colonies roads. However cross traffic may be permitted whenever there is a sufficient gap between the Runners / Athletes at any particular intersection.
EMERGENCY VEHICLES
All emergency vehicles including vehicles of Delhi Police, Ambulances, Fire Brigade and other Emergency Service Vehicles are allowed to cross the route of marathon during emergent situations, when proceeding on emergency duties to save precious lives of people.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO PUBLIC
Adequate traffic arrangements have been made for diversion and regulation of traffic. General public and motorists are also advised to use public transport to avoid congestion on roads. General public and motorists are advised to plan their journeys keeping the Half Marathon in mind and advance their journeys so that delay can be taken into account. Motorists are advised to follow the directions of the traffic policemen posted on roads to avoid inconvenience. The diversion is likely to continue from 5.45 A.M. till completion of the event at about 11.30 AM.
