NTPC signs MoU for ESP Performance Improvement with EEC
NTPC and Excellence Enhancement Centre (EEC) set up by Central Electricity Authority under Indo-German Energy (IGEN) program with initiative of Ministry of Power and CEA to facilitate performance improvement in Indian Power Sector have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a joint research project on “Electro-Static Precipitator (ESP) performance improvement through Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling” today in New Delhi.
Under this MoU, NTPC will carry out CFD modeling to analyze and correct the flue gas pattern inside the ESP. It will help in decreasing fly ash emission from the power plant. EEC in partnership with VGB Germany will provide the knowledge input required for the project.
The MoU was signed by Shri Thomas Joseph, Executive Director, NTPC-NETRA, and Shri B.K Sharma, Member Secretary, EEC & Chief Engineer (C&E), CEA in presence of Shri Major Singh, Vice President, EEC & Member (Planning), CEA, Shri A. K. Jha, Director (Technical), NTPC and other senior officials from EEC, CEA and NTPC
