NTPC GETS A VIBRANT CHANGE – “MANAS SARKAR” EX MD RATNAGIRI GAS & POWER PVT LTD. TAKES OVER AS ED to CMD and ED(Corporate Affairs & Corporate Communication), NTPC
Manash Sarkar has taken over as ED to CMD and ED(Corporate Affairs & Corporate Communication), NTPC Limited recently. A Mechanical Engineering Graduate from Jadavpur University, Kolkata., he joined NTPC as a 3rd Batch ET in 1978 and since then he worked at Badarpur, Rihand, Kahalgaon, Simhadri, Talcher Kaniha, Auraiya and Rihand again. He was business unit head Auraiya and Rihand.
Before joining as Executive Director to CMD and ED(Corporate Affairs & Corporate Communication) , Sarkar was Managing Director of Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt Ltd., (promoted by NTPC and GAIL).
During his tenure in NTPC he has been in the field of erection, commissioning, operation and maintenance of power stations. He has over 33 years in different aspects of the power plants.
Sarkar is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (I) Ltd., and life member of the All India Management Association.
