Notorious Woman Thief Arrested by Delhi Metro Police

 

On 16.08.17 Delhi Metro Police has arrested two notorious women thieves in a case of theft registered at PS-Yamuna Bank Depot Metro, Delhi.

 

INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION

 

On 16.08.17, complainant along with his mother-in-law was on the way to their house from Anand Vihar Metro Station. The train was crowded. He kept his bag on his shoulder. After boarding metro train, he realized that someone was trying to open zip of his bag. He immediately apprehended the two ladies and handed over to the police. Accordingly, a case under sections 379/511/34 IPC has been registered at Police Station-Yamuna Bank Depot Metro.

 

INTERROGATION

Sustained interrogation of accused persons was made. During interrogation, it was surfaced that the accused were previously involved in a case of theft and was actively operating in Railways and Metro Stations etc.

 

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON

The accused person belongs to poor family and her husband is a drug addict. She used to commit crime to earn livelihood for their children. She was previously involved in one case of theft.  

 

Another accused is a widow.

 

MODUS OPERANDI

 

During interrogation, it revealed that they committed the crime in a group of two or three. First they target a passenger having a bag on the shoulder in a crowded metro and one of them covered bag with her Saree and other one opens zip of the bag and steals items kept in the bag.
