NFIR DECIDES TO CONDUCT STRIKE BALLOT ON DEMANDS
Shri Som Nath Malik, Press Secretary/NFIR gave following action plan of NFIR as announced by Shri M.Raghavaiah, General Secretary/NFIR in the recently held meetings of the Federation, while addressing various Press Conferences at New Delhi.
General Secretary/NFIR Shri M.Raghavaiah, expressed disappointment over the Government’s attitude of procrastination on genuine issues which were accepted by Railway Ministry but, however, not cleared by the Central Government. Under the compelling circumstances having felt no other alternative, NFIR has decided to conduct strike ballot on 17th and 18th January 2014 and depending upon the opinion of rail work force through secret ballot, the Federation will meet and decide to launch Indefinite Strike, Raghavaiah said. He further expressed confidence that employees of all categories will stand by NFIR as it has a track record of leading the railway employees on right path at all times.
Mr. Raghavaiah expressed concern over lack of initiative on the part of Government in solving 6th CPC anomalies inspite of merits exist on each issue raised by NFIR.
NFIR is a premium Federation of Railwaymen having the membership of over one million railway employees.
The National Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR), an affiliate of INTUC has decided to conduct strike ballot on the following demands:-
- merge DA with Pay,
- Grant interim relief,
- Guaranteed pension/family pension to those employees appointed on or after 01/01/2004,
- Merger of Technicians Gr II with Technicians Gr I in GP Rs 2800/-
- Revision of entry Grade Pay of Station Masters to Rs 4200/- (PB-2),
- Replacement of GP Rs 4600/- with GP Rs 4800/- (PB-2)
- Allotment of Entry GP of Rs 5400 to Group ‘B’ Gazetted staff,
- Revision of Grade Pay of Loco Pilots (Mails) and Guards,
- Placement of Junior Administrative Grade Officers, in PB-4,
- Redressal of pending issues raised by NFIR in the PNM and DCM/JCM fora
