NAXAL ATTACK IN CHHATTISGARH, 6 JAWAN KILLED

Dantewada: At least six jawans were killed and one injured on Sunday in an Improvised Explosive Device attack by the Maoists in Dantewada.

As per the reports, three personnel belonging to the CAF and two of the District Force were killed in the IED blast while two others sustained injuries.

The Maoists have also snatched five automatic rifles including two AK-47s and two INSAS rifles, the police said.

The incident took place when the Jeep carrying seven security personnel, who were surveying a road being built between Kirandul and Cholnar, was passing through the village.

Soon after receiving information of the incident, personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force were rushed to the spot.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh condemned the attack by saying, “Naxals are against development and they usually target our soldiers. We will strongly retaliate against such incidents.”
