J.S. Deepak, lAS appointed as Ambassador/Permanent Representative of India to the World Trade Organization, Geneva

 

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approvedthe following proposals:
(a) Appointment of  J.S. Deepak, lAS (UP:1982) as Officer on Special Duty in the Department of
Commerce with immediate effect, in the rank and pay of Secretary, by temporarily upgrading a vacant post
of Director in the Department of Commerce (vice Ms.MugdhaSinha) till 31.05.2017 or until further orders,
whichever is earlier.
(b) Appointment of  J.S. Deepak, lAS (UP:1982) as Ambassador/Permanent Representative of India to
the World Trade Organization, Geneva with a tenure with effect from 01.06.2017 till the date of his
superannuationi.e. 31.07.2018 or until further orders,whichever is earlier.
