INTERSTATE MODULE INDULGED IN TRAFFICKING OF NARCOTICS SUBSTANCE…

INTERSTATE MODULE INDULGED IN TRAFFICKING OF NARCOTICS SUBSTANCE BUSTED – LARGE RECOVERY OF GANJA MADE. USED TO  TRANSPORT THROUGH TRAIN.

Police personnel of PS Maya Puri, West District has unearthed an interstate racket of trafficking of narco-tropic substance by arresting accused namely Anil Kumar s/o Mahipat Ray  r/o village Simri, District Patna, Bihar and recovered appx. 4.700 kg Ganja.

NAME AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED

Anil Kumar s/o Mahipat Ray  r/o village Simri, District, Patna, Bihar. He has studied upto Vth standard only. He had arrived in Delhi 3 months ago and so far has arranged such deals for 15-16 times. He belongs to a poor family with 7 other brothers and sisters. Earlier around 3 years ago he had come to Delhi and for 2 months did labour work in Gazi Pur but being less paid job returned to his home.

RECOVERY

4.700 Kg ganja with moisture.

INCIDENT

On 18.9.13, in the evening while patrolling in the area Ct. Sandeep 918/W and Ct. Manish No. 2344/W posted in the PS Maya Puri noticed a young person moving in suspicious condition having a bag with him. On interrogation, the accused failed to give any reasonable answers to question and also about his movement in the area. On further checking the bag, ganja like substance noticed in the bag and on questioning accused confessed that the recovered substance was actually ganja which he had to deliver to perspective buyer.  On the basis of recovery a case vide FIR No. 225/13 u/s 20/61/85 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Mayapuri.

 

MODUS OPERANDI

During sustained interrogation, the accused revealed unique modus operandi which in ordinary course would not attract any suspicion. The accused has informed that upon getting orders/demand for ganja from his clients he would contact his supplier in Bihar through phone and would ask for delivery. The supplier in Bihar would arrange the substance and after making a consignment would conceal the same in the cavity of toilet of train. Once this is done, the supplier would pass the information on phone to the accused in Delhi. On scheduled date and time on the basis of provided train and coach No. the accused will collect the same. For this purpose platform ticket is being purchased by the accused and once all passengers alight, the consignment is taken out after opening the cavity which normally is covered by plywood. The accused has further informed that a screw driver is used by him for opening and closing the cavity. The instant consignment was received by him in the morning of 18th and he had to deliver the same but was caught.  Further investigation is in progress to trace buyers, local contacts etc.

Police personnel involved in good work are being rewarded suitably.
