INDIA NEEDS TO CHALK OUT A LONG TERM STRATEGY TO ADDRESS ITS ENERGY CONCERNS: SUDHIR VASUDEVA ,CMD,ONGC

New Delhi, Aug 28 : ONGC CMD Sudhir Vasudeva reckoned that countries with a significant energy appetite like India need to chalk out a long-term strategy to address its energy security concerns He said that this approach is needed as vast changes have effected hydrocarbon industry over recent years.

He made these remarks during Petrotech 2014 curtain raiser event – ‘The Leadership Conclave’ held at Delhi. The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Dr M VeerappaMoily.

The theme for Petrotech 2014, being organised by ONGC: Vision 2030: Global Energy Basket – Challenges & Opportunities.

Vasudeva also highlighted the importance of efficiency of energy production and consumption for the country’s ambitious goal of energy self-dependency by the year 2030.
