Editor: FASHION as a word what does it signify to Wendell?
W.R:It is an industry. But as a word and its meaning ,I prefer style over fashion.
Editor:What are the important factors to become successful in fashion industry?
W.R: Originality and discipline above all. Each season you must create new clothes and show at fashion week on time.
Editor:You have designed for lot of Bollywood celebrities and they like your couture and what is it that attract celebrities towards your creations?
W.R:I frankly don care about movie stars. Only the ones who are my friends.
Editor:Whom you consider as your competitors and what is it that you compete with them?
W.R:INDIA is a vast country. I feel no competition at all. There is safe for everyone and all types of styles in fashion.
Editor: What according to you INDIA fashion lacks as compared to Paris or other fashion premiere countries?
W.R:INDIA is more vibrant than Paris or any country in the West. All they make are frocks we have a huge, vast repertoire that is more interesting.
Editor: If you were to design creation for our political bigwigs what it would had been
W.R:Anything but khadi. Polyester suits them as most are man made creatures with p sycophantic egos.
Editor: Everybody has an unfulfilled dream in life ,did you had any?
W.R:I wish I had more hours in the day. Life is too fast, too short to enjoy everything.
Editor:What hurdles you faced in achieving success in fashion industry?
W.R:For that you have to read my memoir The Green Room.

W.R: “Live live as creatively as you can. It will give you the most happiness”.
