GAIL REGISTERS 23% HIKE IN TURNOVER IN ITS 2ND QUARTER FOR FY 2013-14

New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited registered a turnover (net of Excise Duty) of Rs. 13,945 crore in the second quarter of Financial Year 2013-14, an increase of 23% as against Rs. 11,361 crore in the corresponding period during the last financial year.The Gross Margin was Rs. 1,685 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year, an increase of 2% from Rs. 1,648 crore, in the corresponding period last year. GAIL’s Profit after tax for the second quarter of the FY 2013-14 was Rs. 916 crore as against Rs. 985 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The Profit before Tax was Rs. 1,288 crore as against Rs. 1,373 crore in the corresponding period last year.
