New Delhi: Delhi Jal Board has been making efforts to communicate with its employees to foster a relationship of trust and co-operation. In line with these efforts, DJB organized its fourth Karamchari Sampark Sabha on 04.10.2015 under the chairmanship of Dr. Jayadev Sarangi, Member (Administration). Director (Administration & Personnel), All Assistant Commissioners, Administrative Officer (Labour Welfare) and a number of employees and pensioners were present at the Sampark Sabha.
The Administrative Officer (Labour Welfare) presented the new initiatives in the area of Employee Welfare, in the past three months. Delhi Jal Board has registered 21 new Private hospitals and Diagnostics Centre in its panel. The deadline to submit medical bills after treatment has been increased from 3 months to 6 months. Employees of the C Category who receive reimbursement of education fee from the office, can get scholarships for their first two children. Delhi Jal Board is planning to organize Sports Week in the month of November, 2015 and it is hoped that all employees will participate in it.
A circular was issued among the employees regarding a Talent hunt. 110 appointments were made and 108 employees were promoted. 175 employees were given the benefit of A.C.P/M.A.C.P. 45 employees were trained on different topics. Employees were allotted departmental residences in different categories.
Assistant Commissioners, Administrative Officer (Labour Welfare) presented the action taken regarding the 114 requests and suggestions made by the employees during the Karamchari Sampark Sabha held on 21.06.2015. During the fourth Karamchari Sampark Sabha, employees, pensioners, members of the dependent families gave their suggestions and talked about their problems. Some decisions were taken by the Competent Authority, during the meeting itself. The rest of the Application-letters have been sent to the heads of the concerned departments to learn about the action taken on the applications of the employees.
Member (administration) addressed the employees, pensioners and members of dependent families and said, “I want that more and more number of employees should be present so that the problems of the employees should be resolved at the earliest.” He also thanked the people present during the Sabha for their active participation and for the confidence they have shown in the administration.
