CBI search for its new Chief

According to the recent developments in the power corridors, it is been learnt that the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has started to search its next Chief. Sources say Union Home Ministry has made a list of eligible  DG rank officers and forwarded to the Department of Personnel & Training which will seek vigilance clearance from respective states and the Central Vigilance Commission. It is something surprising and eyebrow-raising move as in spite of ongoing Supreme Court case pertaining to CBI Chief Alok Verma and Special Director Rakesh Asthana challenging the Govt’s decision of diluting them of their powers. The Agency has started to find its new leader.
