BHEL wins 5 National Safety Awards;

36 Employees bag 8 Vishwakarma National Awards for 2014

New Delhi, September 21: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has won Five ‘NationalSafety Awards’ for outstanding achievements in terms of the longest accident free period and lowest accident frequency rate at their works. The awards were received by Sh. Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEL from Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour & Employment.

In addition, for their innovations, 36 employees of BHEL have bagged eight ‘Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskars’ for the year 2014, among a host of public & private sector companiesin the country. Significantly, BHEL and its employees have been winning both these prestigious national awards, instituted by the Government of India, Ministry of Labour, consistently, since their inception.
