METICULOUSLY PLANNED & BLIND MURDER CASE OF A DOCTOR IN PALAM VILLAGE CRACKED BY SPECIAL STAFF/SWD.

The sleuths of Special Staff of South-West District and PS Palam comprising Insp. Ramesh Kumar, SI Naveen Kumar, SI Ranjeev Kumar, ASI Bijender Singh, HC Jaiveer Singh, HC Sri Om, HC Pawan Kumar, HC Kuldeep, HC Hans Kumar, Ct. Ashok Kumar, Ct. Rajender, Ct. Ashwani Spl. Staff/SWD, under overall supervision of ACP Jagjit Singh Sangwan, have decoded a sensational and meticulously planned blind murder case of a Doctor named Sh. Balwan Singh Ramawat and have arrested 4 accused persons including the main conspirator Hariom Sharma, who had hired first timers to eliminate the deceased.
THE INCIDENT :-
On 13/05/16, a PCR call, vide DD No. 39A, was received at PS Palam that one person has been shot at Hero Chowk Palam. On reaching at the spot, police found one man in pool of blood in Ramawat Clinic Palam. It was revealed that some unidentified persons have shot Doctor Balwan Singh Ramawat, aged 55 years, who used to practice at his own clinic. The injured was taken to DDU Hospital where he was declared brought dead. Regarding this incident, case FIR No. 214/16 dated 14/05/16 U/s 302 IPC & 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Palam Village and investigation was taken up.

The incident was not only heinous & sensational but also executed in the clinic of a doctor, hence was widely covered by media. Due to this incident, public at large was terrified and there was sense of insecurity in the area. Keeping in view the incident, which was heinous, callous and inhumane, where a doctor was shot dead in his own clinic, a joint team of Special Staff /South-West District, and PS Palam comprising of Insp. Ramesh Kumar, SI Naveen Kumar, SI Ranjeev Kumar, ASI Bijender Singh, HC Jaiveer Singh, HC Sri Om, HC Pawan Kumar, HC Kuldeep, HC Hans Kumar, Ct. Ashok Kumar, Ct. Rajender & Ct. Ashwani, under the overall supervision of Sh. Jagjit Sangwan, ACP/Operations was constituted.
INVESTIGATION & OPERATION:
Taking into the gravity of this heart-rending heinous murder of a doctor in his own clinic, a massive hunt was launched to trace the accused and the dedicated police team was formed. The investigation of the case was carried on each & every minor point including personal enmity, extra-marital affair, business rivalry, modus operandi of accused etc. and no stone was left unturned. Help of technical surveillance, secret informers, CDR analysis, analysis of CCTV footages etc was also taken. Raids were conducted at various places in Delhi/NCR to nail down the criminals. During investigation, it was found that the deceased had close relations with one lady Priya (real name withheld), aged about 42 yrs. The CDR analysis of mobiles of deceased and the lady revealed that one Hariom Sharma also had close relations with Priya. This Hariom Sharma was interrogated at length which revealed that he had close relations with Priya since 2007. The first and second wives of Hariom Sharma left him due to his close intimacy with Priya. The relations between Hariom Sharma and Priya had got sour due to some financial issues and Priya got registered a criminal case of molestation against Hariom Sharma while Hariom Sharma filed a suit against Priya in a cheque bounce case. Meanwhile Priya got intimated with deceased. Hariom got jealous due to this and felt spurned by Priya. Hence he decided to eliminate deceased so that Priya could revert to him. He sought help from his old friend Vikrant @ Sunny, who demanded Rs. 2 Lakh to kill the deceased. Hariom Sharma paid Rs. 87,000 as advance to Vikrant @ Sunny and got him identified the clinic of deceased. Vikrant @ Sunny further hired Angad @ Sagar & Sonu and also took a round around the clinic of the deceased with them . Sonu arranged a bike and a desi katta, & cartridges. As per plan, Angad @ Sagar and Sonu reached the clinic on the bike and Angad entered into the clinic. He actually fired upon the deceased while Sonu waited on bike outside the clinic. Immediately after shooting the deceased, taking advantage of congested place and narrow streets, both the assailants fled. Vikrant @ Sunny, Angad and Sonu were arrested on the instance of Hariom Sharma. The bike used by the shooters has been recovered.

- Hariom Sharma S/O Ramprakash Sharma R/O
Mahavir Enclave, ND , Aged – 32 years.
He is 12th pass and working as property dealer. He was married twice in 2010 and 2013 but both the wives had left him due to his extra-marital affair with Priya.
- Vikrant Sharma @ Sunny S/O Vinod Sharma R/O Punjabi Bagh,
ND Age-32 yrs.
He is graduate and also works as property dealer. He involved himself in the crime for money.
- Angad Kumar @ Sagar S/O Kameshwar Paswan R/O Sanjay
Colony, Bhati Mines, ND , Aged- 30 Yrs.
He is 7th pass and works as water tanker driver in DJB. He is from poor family and required money to litigate his property dispute case. He had sought help from Vikrant @ Sunny who tasked him to eliminate deceased and get money.
- Sonu S/O Rajender R/O Vill- Hajipura, Eta, Mainpuri (UP), Aged- 20 years.
He is illiterate, belongs to a poor family and father runs a tea shop in his home town. He wanted to settle in metropolitan life so required immediate money. He was introduced to Vikrant @ Sunny through some common friend. He involved himself for easy money.
The Special Staff of South-West District has done a commendable job in working out this sensational case and is being suitably rewarded. Investigation of the case is in progress.
