6 MINORS TRACED IN 12 HOURS BY CRIME BRANCH AND DISTRICT POLICE JOINT EFFORT
SIX MINOR TRACED IN A SPAN OF TWELVE HOURS
On dated 24.12.13 at about 9.00 AM six minor between the age group of 8 to 13 years had gone missing from the area of Police Station Uttam Nagar. The vigilant staff of District Police and the officers of Crime Branch recovered them and handed over to their parents in a span of twelve hours. In this regard four cases of kidnapping were registered at Police Station Uttam Nagar and investigation was taken up.
INVESTIGATION
On receipt of the information of missing of children local police of Uttam Nagar immediately got the case registered and five teams under the supervision of Inspr. Mukesh Kumar, PS Uttam Nagar, Inspr. Rakesh Tyagi, SHO/Vikas Puri, Inspr. Satbir Singh, Special Staff, Inspr. Satyaveer, AATS, Inspr. Indrawati, AHTU, SI Naveen SPl Staff, HC Rakesh Kumar, HC Suresh Pal, HC Virender, HC Ram Lal, Ct. Vikram, Ct. Praveen and the entire Beat/Division Staff of PS Uttam Nagar under the supervision of ACP/Vikas Puri and ACP/Operation Cell were constituted. The officials of Crime Branch were immediately associated for the search of missing children.
As per the laid down standard operative procedure the police swung into action and took the following measures:-
The staff of Police Station Uttam Nagar, Vikas Puri and Special Staff were sensitized about the missing children.
Their photographs were uploaded on ZIPNET. Their details were promptly disseminated to Missing Person Squad, National Crime Record Bureau, State Crime Record Bureau, District Missing Person Unit and requested for their search.
Their coloured photographs were prepared and pasted at prominent locations in the adjoining area with the request to inform SHO Uttam Nagar as well as ACP/Vikas Puri in case of any information received.
Teams were immediately dispatched to Railway Stations, Inter State Bus Terminals, Metro Stations etc. for their search.
Search Operation was launched in the open fields, play grounds, parks, places of worship, cinema hall, malls etc. for the recovery of children.
The Principal and the faculty members of various schools were contacted by the investigating teams but of no use.
Wireless message was also flashed all over Delhi for the search of missing children.
The search operation continued till late evening. Finally the relentless efforts bore fruits when one of the minor was spotted moving near Tilak Nagar Gurudwara. The staff identified him on the basis of the photographs and his parents were contacted.
Later on his friends were also located in a nearby area and handed over to their parents. They will be produced before Child Welfare Committee as per the laid down procedure. All the parents expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to the Police for speedy recovery of their missing children. The investigation further revealed that all of them belong to middle class family staying in Uttam Nagar, Delhi. All the children used to play together and had left their residence to see malls, cinema halls and India Gate etc. in New Delhi area. It was also revealed that they had taken food at Gurudwara and spent night in a park in severe cold. They did not reach home out of fear from their parents.
The staff is being suitably rewarded for their sincerity dedication and hard work in tracing the missing children.
