PNB VIGIL QUARTRY PERIODICAL RELEASED BY K R KAMATH ,CMD,PNB
New Delhi : PNB Vigil, the quarterly periodical magazine of PNB Vigilance Department was released by K R Kamath, Chairman & Managing Director of PNB in the Board Meeting held at Head Office, 7, Bhikha Ji Cama Place, New Delhi along with Chief Vigilance Officer, Shiv Kumar Gupta.
The three EDs of the Bank namely Gauri Shankar, K V Brahmaji Rao and Dr. Ram S. Sangapure, members of the Board B P Kanungo (RBI Nominee), other directors including the Workmen Director T C Jhalani, Officers’ Director Shri Dilip Kumar Saha and all General Managers were present.
This is a special issue of the magazine covering the important occasion of Vigilance Excellence Award 2013-14 presented to the Bank by the Institute of Public Enterprises, Hyderabad in its Golden Jubilee Celebrations. The award was given away to Shri Shiv Kumar Gupta, Chief Vigilance Officer of the Bank in the Vigilance Officers’ Conclave of Vigilance professionals on 6th & 7th March 2014 at Hyderabad wherein about 200 officials from all PSEs including CMDs of some PSUs attended the meet. The award was conferred on account of the following 4 parameters:
- Focused attention on Preventive, Pro active/ Participative, Detective and Punitive Vigilance enhancing efficiency of the system.
- Bringing in the best adopted practices and procedures, ethical & good corporate governance.
- Systemic changes and innovations introduced in the banking system by the Vigilance Department of PNB in the form of Green Vigilance.
- Reduction of number of vigilance cases to the all time low level.
The award manifests the assiduous endeavour put in by the vigilance department of the bank led by Shri Shiv Kumar Gupta, Chief Vigilance Officer in bringing about a robust vigilance administration in the bank and also innovating ideas bringing in systemic adaptations. Earlier in the Special Committee of the Board, Vigilance Department was complimented for reducing the number of vigilance cases to all time low.
The magazine is the mouth piece of Vigilance Administration of the Bank and is guiding the field functionaries in its contents of case studies, articles on vigilance matters, burning issues prevailing industry wide.
