JUSTICE MANSOOR AHMAD MIR SWORN IN AS CHIEF JUSTICE OF HIMACHAL PRADESH HIGH COURT ON 18TH JUNE 2014
Shimla: Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir was sworn in as Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh high court on Wednesday. Governor Urmila Singh administered the oath of office to him in a ceremony held at Raj Bhawan in Shimla. Chief secretary P Mitra conducted the proceedings and read out the warrant of appointment.
Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir was transferred to the Himachal Pradesh high court and took over as Acting Chief Justice on November 26, 2013, and remained as such up to June 18, 2014. During this short stint, he has decided 4,134 cases (3,928 in division bench and 206 in single bench).
