IndianOil adjudged “Oil & Gas Marketing Company of the Year”
The country’s leading marketer of petroleum products, Indian Oil Corporation (IndianOil), has bagged the coveted ‘Oil & Gas Marketing Company of the Year’ Award for 2012, instituted by PetroFed (Petroleum Federation of India), in recognition of its leadership performance in marketing petroleum products and natural gas in India.
Dr. M. Veerappa Moily, Hon’ble Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas, presented the award to Mr. RS Butola, Chairman, and Mr. M Nene, Director (Marketing), IndianOil, at the PetroFed Oil & Gas Industry Awards-2012 function held at New Delhi, in the presence of Mr. Vivek Rae, Secretary (MOP&NG).
With a 34,000-strong workforce aligned to the corporate Vision of being ‘The Energy of India’ and aspiring to become ‘a globally admired company,’ IndianOil currently accounts for over 49% of petroleum products market share in India, with sales of over 70 million tonnes of oil per annum.
The Fortune ‘Global 500’ company reaches petroleum products to every nook and corner of the country through its robust network of over 39,000 customer touch-points. These include nearly 22,500 petrol & diesel stations (of which, 5,000 are Kisan Seva Kendra outlets in rural markets), over 6,400 Indane LPGas distributors and nearly 4,000 kerosene/LDO dealers.
