Gireesh B. Pradhan,1977 batch IAS appointed as Chairperson of Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC)
New Delhi:Union Minister of State for Power (I/C) Jyotiraditya M. Scindia administered the oath of office and secrecy to Gireesh B. Pradhan,a retired IAS officer of the 1977 batch, as Chairperson, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) in Delhi.His tenure would be up to December 28, 2017.The post was lying vacant after the incumbent Pramod Deo’s term completed on June 9.
Pradhan worked as Secretary in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy previously and has also served as Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary, and Special Secretary in the Ministry of Power during 2003 & 2011.
