CONGRESS CHIEF SONIA GANDHI DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Sunday morning. She has been advised rest and medication.

“Ms. Gandhi is likely to visit the hospital for further evaluation of her condition in the coming week,” said Dr. D.S. Rana chairman Board of Management, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

The leader was admitted to the hospital on August 3 afternoon with fever, dehydration and shoulder injury. “Ms. Sonia Gandhi’s medical condition at the time of discharge from the hospital is stable,” said a health update provided by the Hospital.

Ms. Gandhi was admitted under the care of Dr. Arup Basu senior consultant, Department of Pulmonology and Chest Medicine and his team. She was operated for shoulder injury at the hospital by Dr. Prateek Gupta, senior consultant and his team from Department of Orthopaedics and Dr. Sanjay Desai from Mumbai.
